Pearson National Teaching Awards honour lockdown teaching heroes

Posted by: , Posted on: - Categories: Coronavirus, teachers

The Pearson National Teaching Awards have launched a new award category for 2021 –  the ‘Lockdown Hero’. The Award aims to celebrate schools or individuals who have stepped up to support others despite the extraordinary challenges presented by lockdown.

Celebrating excellence in schools and colleges, the 2021 Teaching Awards also offer the chance to recognise the amazing work of schools, colleges and education professionals and the positive impact this has had on young people.

Launched last week on the BBC’s The One Show, the ‘Lockdown Hero’ Award will honour everyday heroes and ensure our amazing teachers are given the thanks they deserve.

Pearson is asking for people to get in touch and tell them about the positive impact their ‘Lockdown Hero’ has had on them and those around them during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Every school staff member entered will also receive a special edition Thank a Teacher card.

Entries are welcome from parents, teachers and schools from across the UK. It’s quick and easy to enter and more information can be found here.

Get your entry in by Friday 12th March 2021 and let’s give our Lockdown Heroes the chance to shine!
