Ofsted Inspections
Today, Wednesday 2 October, BBC published an online news piece on Ofsted inspections, focusing on the Outstanding schools exemption - a policy which means Outstanding schools do not have to be routinely inspected unless concerns are raised.
Guidance on Ofsted inspections, including standard practice for Outstanding schools, Good schools, and new schools can be found here.
A Department for Education spokesperson said:
The department will shortly consult on how best to bring Outstanding schools back into a regular cycle of inspection, so that schools and parents can have the up-to-date information they deserve about the performance and quality of the school.
